Eresko
Victor Eresko
“ He is an inspired poet who not only masters his keyboard, but above all the art of sound. He reminds me of Rachmaninov.” Marguerite Long Le Figaro

Victor Eresko became known at the age of 16 when he won the First Prize in the national piano competition of Ukraine and Moldavia. In 1961 he entered the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music in Moscow without having to take an entrance exam – something unheard of at the time. In 1963 he won the First Grand Prize in the Marguerite Long International Piano Competition in Paris.

After winning the Grand Prize in the Tchaikovsky Piano Competition he became a soloist for the Moscow State Philharmonic. He has performed in the most prestigious concert halls of the world (Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Lincoln Centre in New York, the Champs Elysées Theatre, Pleyel Hall …) as well as performed as the soloist with the most prestigious orchestras (Viennese Philharmonic, Mozarteum Festival of Salzburg, Concertgebow of Amsterdam …) and performed with very well-known conductors ( K. Kondrachine, E. Svetlanov, P. Berglund, V. Fedoseev, K. Zanderling, L. Hager, V. Gergiev, K. Mazur…) Member of the Jury of international piano competitions, most notably the Long-Thibaut in Paris in 1978, 1983, 1986 and 2004, the Munich Festival in 1989, Victor Eresko presided the jury in 2005 of the 20th International Piano Competition of Epinal.

This grand Russian pianist Victor Eresko has become a friend of Le Verger sous les Vignes, and regularly performs piano concerts and gives instruction at our domain.
